Hi, I am ChiewSiang, 22years old. Something I need to ask about Buat Chee If Buat Chee, when is the nice timing? is that Buat Chee can contribute to the dead relative and also clam myself?
I have a wish, and I told my mum that I want to Buat Chee seriously, but she thought I was kidding. How suppose I talk to her so that she could take this serious? Can I Buat Chee without any permission?

1. If Buat Chee, when is the nice timing? To do good, anytime is a good time. it is just convenience for you if you join the ordination program conducted by temple/ Wat.
2. is that Buat Chee can contribute to the dead relative and also clam myself? Actually, when becoming a Chee, a samanera or bhikkhu, you are the one who gain the benefit, not others. But, you can share or contribute the benefit or merit to others. One way is by transfering merit to them. Some people believe that when man ordain as Monk, relative 40 generation before you (who pass away and still suffering as ghost/peta ) and 40 generation after you can gain merits. But whether they can receive the merit or not, it depends on a few conditions. such as their bad karma is heavy or not...
3. How suppose I talk to her so that she could take this serious? in my opinion, you should seriously tell her regarding this matter. Tell her what you think and reason why you wan to do this. discuses with them (you parent).
4. Can I Buat Chee without any permission? It is better if your parent give permission. For this moment i haven't found anything related to permission for Buat Chee in Nikaya. How ever, as For ordain as Monk (Buat Phrak)the person have to get permission from his parent. Because causing heart break to your parent will cause you bad karma to yourself. So, you should be passion and discuss with your parent.
Niat hendak "Buat" perlu betul. aku ingin "buat" kerana aku telah faham dhamma dan ingin berlatih manjalani hidup suci. menghindari perbuatan salah dan melakukan perbuatan berkara buruk... setiap petang kongsikan lah pahala yang anda lakukan pada hari ini.
Dengan niat yang baik dan perbuatan yang betul, selaras dengan 8 fold path.(perbuatan yang baik perlu disertai dgn niat yang tidak terkeluar daripada dhamma sebenar.)
Dalami lah dhamma dahulu. Seperti kata Achan Chah "kesian lah diri sendiri dulu sebelum membantu orang lain" bererti : biarlah kita ada bun barulah boleh kongsi dgn orang lain.
