Ven K.Sri Dhammaratana says:
For Buddhist,these unseen being are ghosts and demons who dwell
in the lower realms of existence. In Buddhism, possession can happen
to a person throught witchcraft by marking use of lower ranked beings.
However the person is only susceptible if the mind is weak, if he or
she is undergoing a bad period (period of bad kamma).
